CHRIS LOPATA

I have truly come to love and appreciate Wilmington. Growing up near Washington, D.C., I always loved going into the city and would always pay attention to the historic buildings with the beautiful architecture and classic design. The downtown area of Wilmington is similar in that it has beautiful historic buildings and homes, with brick and tree lined streets which really gives a sense of southern history. I enjoy going downtown to eat dinner. There's a modern, city living feel with an eclectic mix of people and locally owned shops, bars, and restaurants. When it gets to be summer time, I love to hit the beach and surf when the waves are good. Wrightsville Beach is a short drive away, and I try to get there as much as I can. (When I'm not golfing.) With a laid back, beach vibe, you get a completely different feel and style of living. People are riding their bikes in swimsuits, or walking down the street in flip flops with a surfboard under their arm. Being an avid golfer, I also enjoy the hot summers and mild winters, which allows my friends, family, and I to enjoy year round golf at our choice of many great golf courses around the area.

When I first moved to Wilmington, I was starting a career as a hair stylist. Over the course of my almost 8 years in the industry, I learned a lot about people, professionalism, business, communication, and integrity. I also learned that a thorough consultation is the key to determining a clients wants, needs, and expectations. I have found these traits and knowledge directly applicable to helping people find their perfect investment, rental, or forever home. I am so excited to be working in the real estate industry. Every day, I see more and more beautiful homes, townhomes, and condominiums being built in Wilmington and the surrounding area. I really enjoy looking at homes, seeing the new, modern floor plans builders are designing. With what seems like endless possiblities, it is such an amazing time for real estate! I couldn't be more excited to have a career that I am passionate about. Buying a home is such a happy, exciting experience and I love to help clients through the process. I look forward to building relationships with future clients, and helping them turn their real estate goals into a reality.

My name is Chris Lopata. I am originally from northern Virginia and I decided to relocate to Wilmington to be closer to my parents who chose the area to retire. Being close to the beach, the friendly locals, and great year round weather, my decision to move was confirmed and I've lived here since 2008. I met my beautiful wife Tracy here, and we got married on September 3, 2016 in downtown Wilmington.
